We have spent a lot of
time visiting campsites, trying to work out shuttle service and
examining all the points that your membership asked us to look at
during the RVer's meeting in Reno. The main site we selected is the
only one that has most of the things you asked for (no cable TV or
phone at site). It is the only park that can accommodate all of the
RVers together.
This
RV Facility is the "Adirondack Adventures- Lake George Resort".
They will serve breakfast, if the SubVet RVer's club desires. They
have also agreed to rent a 15 passenger van to and provide shuttle
service to the Prime Hotel (Convention Headquarters) every
two hours or so from 0700 to 2300 each day. This RV Park can
accommodate ALL of our members.
Reservation must be made by phone at
1-800- 340 2267. The reservation line is on winter hours:
Saturday thru Wednesday only. We negotiated a rate of $24/day, so
when making a reservation be sure to identify yourself as a US
Submarine Veteran. Make sure to reserve at the "Lake George
Resort" location (because they own a similarly named park). Rate
information for those belonging to Coast to Coast, RPI, AOR, or ROD
can be obtained by calling the reservation number.
The RV Park has a General Store, LP
Gas, Clubhouse, pavilions, laundry, two pools, 18 hole mini golf, TV
lounge, Game room, Tennis, horse shoes and a stocked fishing pond.
Each site has room for a 50 foot RV and two vehicles
Directions:
Take Exit 17N on I-87, the Adirondack Northway; Go 1/4 mile north on
US 9; Take first right on Fawn Rd.; Go 1/4 mile on Fawn; Turn right
on Fortville Rd. Resort is on the right.
To get to I-87: From the East, take
I-90 to the connection with I-87; Go North.
From the West, take I-90 87 to exit
24 interchange, continue on I-87; Go North.
From the South, take I-87 to exit 24
interchange, continue on I-87 North.

CAMPGROUND CHOICES
The
Adirondack Adventure Resort- Saratoga.
THIS IS NOT THE RESORT WE SELECTED, but it’s run by the same
owners. This resort is not near the interstate and is a longer to
trip to the Prime Hotel. It has no sewer sites (only Dump site and
honey wagon). The Rate is the same.
The
Moreau Lake NY State Campgrounds from exit 17 of I-87.

The rate is $15.75 for the first night and $13 per night
thereafter. It has a 40 ft limit & no hookups.
Lee's Campgrounds
1466 Route 9P, Saratoga Lake, NY, 12866. This site is
closer to the Prime Hotel. This 35 site campgrounds is on Saratoga
Lake . There are NO Facilities or Amenities and no shuttle. Daily
Rate for us is $10/ per day/ per person. Weekly rate for one
person is $70 and two people is $120. This is seasonal. To make

Saratoga RV
4894 Route 50, P.O. Box 14, Gansevoort, NY, 12831. This park is
about the same distance from the Prime Hotel as the Adirondack
Adventures Lake resort. The campground will have 75 sites
available, but not together (many sites are permanent). This RV park
is full service with cable TV at the site and a computer modem in
